One booking desk for every temperature. Rent a refrigerated van — chilled at 2–8°C or frozen down to -22°C — with a trained driver, live GPS and full-trip temperature logging. Daily, monthly, or on standing route contract, dispatched in under two hours.
A refrigerated van is any van fitted with an active cooling unit that holds cargo at a controlled temperature — anywhere from +8°C down to -22°C. “Refrigerated van” is the umbrella term: a chiller van keeps goods cool (2–8°C) without freezing, while a freezer van holds sub-zero temperatures for frozen cargo. Choosing correctly comes down to one question — does your cargo need to stay chilled, or stay frozen?
Refrigerated vans split into three working tiers by temperature. Find your cargo, and the right van — and page — is obvious.
Fresh produce, dairy, beverages, chilled prepared food, flowers and 2–8°C pharma. The most-booked tier in the UAE.
Frozen food, ice cream, frozen meat and seafood, and deep-frozen pharmaceutical stock that must never thaw.
Compact chilled runs for cafés, boutique kitchens and short daily deliveries under 800kg
One van runs in one mode per trip. If a single run carries both chilled and frozen goods, you either split the booking or move up to a dual-zone refrigerated truck — a chiller van with a few bags of ice in it is not a cold chain.
This is the table we work from before confirming any booking. Describe the cargo and the route — let the operator name the van.
| Cargo | Holding Temp | Van Type | What Actually Goes Wrong |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fresh produce & vegetables | 2–8°C | Chiller van | Loaded warm from an open yard; the van holds heat instead of removing it |
| Dairy, eggs, juices | 2–5°C | Chiller van | Set to the top of the range instead of the bottom |
| Chilled prepared food & catering | 2–5°C | Chiller van | Long tailgate waits at venue security |
| Chocolate & confectionery | 12–18°C | Chiller van, adjusted | Booked as "chilled" and bloomed at 4°C — tell us it's chocolate |
| Fresh flowers | 2–8°C | Chiller van | Humidity and door-open time damage stems before temperature does |
| Frozen food & ready meals | -18°C or below | Freezer van | Booked into a chiller van because "refrigerated" sounded close enough |
| Ice cream & frozen dessert | -22°C | Freezer van | Recovery speed after each door opening, not the set point, is what fails |
| Frozen meat & seafood | -18°C or below | Freezer van | Partial thaw and refreeze — invisible on arrival, obvious to the customer |
| Pharmaceuticals & vaccines | 2–8°C, logged | Chiller van, pharma spec | No documented log, so a compliant delivery can't be proven |
Cold chain in the UAE is rarely lost while driving. It's lost standing still, with the doors open. In July, ambient temperature at street level in an industrial area like Al Quoz or Mussafah routinely sits in the mid-40s — the air just above asphalt is hotter still.
A chilled cabin opened for three or four minutes at midday takes far longer to return to set point than most people assume — and on a ten-drop route, those recoveries stack. Fewer, faster openings beat a colder set point every time.
A refrigerated van is a holding device, not a cooling device. Its unit is sized to maintain a load that arrives at temperature and to compensate for heat gain through the panels and doors — not to pull a warm pallet down to 4°C while you're driving to Sharjah.
Four vehicle classes, each spec'd for a different cargo and route — matched to your load by our dispatch desk, not guessed at.

Every Chill Cool refrigerated van logs cabin temperature for the full trip, available after delivery for HACCP files, internal QA, client claims and regulatory records.
We default to continuous for frozen and mixed loads. If a quote you’re comparing is unusually low for frozen freight, running mode is one of the places that saving is coming from.
Ramadan and the peak summer months are when refrigerated capacity tightens across the UAE, and same-day availability narrows first for freezer vans. If you have a known seasonal spike, contract the capacity a few weeks ahead rather than calling on the day.

The one line to take from this section: freight has to arrive at temperature. A reefer unit is sized to remove heat leakage and the heat you load in — not to pull a warm pallet down in transit. Cargo loaded at +10°C is cargo delivered at roughly +10°C, with a flawless log proving the truck did exactly what it was asked to. Pull-down belongs in the cold store.
“Refrigerated van” is the umbrella term for any van with active cooling. A chiller van holds 2–8°C for chilled goods; a freezer van holds -18 to -22°C for frozen goods. Book by the temperature your cargo needs, not by the label you searched for.
